Because so many of our wonderful customers have inquired about placing cooperative style bulk food orders, we have made available a fantastic array of Amish-style food products. These orders can either be shipped to you or picked up at The Grain Mill of Wake Forest in a fashion similar to how local grain co-ops work.
Because we don't have handling, processing, or packaging costs associated with the bulk orders, you enjoy significant savings off our already low buy-by-the-pound in-store price. Please understand that bulk items are sold by the gross case only, with the weights listed in the product description. Some of the bulk quantities are quite manageable for one person/family; for others, perhaps you and some friends/associates would like to go in together on a purchase?
You will see that these items are organized alphabetically by category, and include things like sugar and sodium-free products, organic products, bakery mixes, candies, dried fruits, soup mixes, spices, granolas and cereals, pastas, seeds, and snack mixes. Look at all of them, and then use your imagination (or Google) to come up with new ways to use these great products.
Bulk foods make excellent TEOTWAWKI preps and are good for Christmas gift giving. Also, when you find something that everyone likes to eat, you can order a LOT of it, so everyone has plenty.
We offer Life Latch screw top, food grade buckets for you to store product(s) in. Please call (919) 526-4573 to check on bucket availablity. Stored properly, dry food lasts a long time, significantly less packaging goes to waste in the landfill, and you have fewer trips to the grocery store…all while you save money on products of superior quality—some of which you might not even be able to find anywhere else.

Shipping Options & Local pickup in Wake Forest, NC
In order for The Grain Mill of Wake Forest to qualify for a semi-truck delivery from Amish country, we have to place a minimum $800 order with our warehouse. This could be any combination of your order and our store restocking order, just as long as we all have a combined shipment value of $800 by 10:00 AM EST on a Friday morning. If we don't reach our $800 goal during the week that you place your bulk order, your order will be delayed until we reach that amount. A little planning and patience on your part may be required. The lead time before we reach this $800 minimum is normally zero to fourteen days.
When your order arrives at The Grain Mill of Wake Forest, we'll call you on the phone or email you to let you know your order is ready for pick up. Freight costs from PA to Wake Forest are $0.05 per pound. Please make arrangements to receive your order within a week of the phone call because we have only limited storage area.
UPS Ground shipping is also available. Orders ship in 1-2 business days.
Local pickup at our PA Warehouse
Grain Mill customers closer to the central Pennsylvania area are welcome to collect their orders at our warehouse in Myerstown, PA. Please be a conscientious automobile driver and be aware of the Plain Folk's horses and buggies. Unfortunately, vehicular interactions between the English and the Amish are becoming more commonplace.
Botanicals and Herbs
Botanicals and herbs ship directly from the manufacturer in 1-2 business days on orders over $85 in value. Orders under $85 ship from The Grain Mill of Wake Forest and may require 2-3 weeks for delivery. Please keep this in mind when you place your order for herbs and botanicals.
Unfortunately I can't personally sample/vouch for taste or be an expert on each of the thousands of products we have available for you. It's been my experience that all the products carried by The Grain Mill of Wake Forest are as good, if not better quality than top retail brands. Please make sure that you've done due diligence regarding the type of food and storage requirements for your purchase.
All sales are final unless there is an issue with the quality of the product.
We often have have Life Latch buckets available for sale, to either ship to you or for you to pick up when you come and get your order. Please note that you will need to wash and dry them prior to using for food storage.
