Evaporated milk is a dehydrated, shelf-stable canned milk product with about 60% of the water removed from fresh milk. This milk has no added sugar, and when mixed with an equal amount of water, becomes the equivalent of fresh milk. Evaporated milk is used for dessert and baked good recipes and has a longer shelf life than fresh milk. Each case consists of six, ninety seven ounce containers.
